What is Homestuck?

HOMESTUCK is a webcomic created in 2003 by the renowned artist Andrew Harrison, focusing on the journey of 4 kids on their quest to beat a world-altering game, aiming to beat it and create a NEW WORLD.

The comic garnered massive amounts of attention through its 2-year run, thanks to the interactivity of its format, the novel plot, and memorable characters.

Today, the Homestuck webcomic remains a cultural touchstone of the early internet, remembered fondly by many Web Veterans, and often rediscovered by the youth of today.

Characters:

John Egbert

A strapping young gentleman and the main character of Homestuck, who aspires to be a talented magician and programmer! He isn't quite good at programming, though. Through his journey, John will develop into a strong and brave hero, helping his team of friends beat the game.

Rose Lalonde

A quiet, reserved lady with an interest in knitting, psychology, and the dark arts. She is very well-read, and is extremely willing to let all her friends know. Despite her shortcomings, Rose is well-loved among the cast and is quite popular among Homestuck fans.

Dave Strider

The coolest kid on the block, Dave Strider lives in a high-rise apartment with his older brother, jamming out beats and tunes, drawing comics on his computer, and swordfighting with his radical bro. He always dons a fresh pair of shades, which were a gift given to him by John!

Jade Harley

An eccentric girl who lives alone on a tropical island in a mansion inherited from her grandfather, Jade Harley loves talking to her friends over internet chatrooms, and likes her dog Becquerel, astrophysics, and gardening!
